The sensor stalk is jointed but the two joints only allow movement in a single plane and the head can only be twisted perhaps 50 degrees side to side. The entire stalk can be rotated from the base by loosening the knurl nut, true, but then the light sockets block the movement range. (sigh)It's a shame, too, because I'm very pleased with the range and sensitivity of the sensor. The only quibble with the electronics is that this model doesn't have a daylight test mode - I had to wait until dark to adjust the detection area. The unit is supposed to have an override to make it come on even if it is not dark but it does not work. I thought it was defective but after bypassing the sensor I got the lights to come on in the daylight.
