When I received the two only one worked the other would not come on at all. I returned the faulty light, and to Amazons credit they promptly sent me another. Unfortunately that one didn't work properly either, would turn off after a short while and would not come back on for a long while. So i sent it back and again Amazon sent me another. Today after one week of seldom use I have to send the third one back because it only comes on for a minute or two then will not come on again for an indiscriminate amount of time (15 or 20 minutes).These lights are great when they work, only problem is it's a crap shoot as to whether the one you get works properly. The bulb is not standard threaded Variety. its got two prongs. Don't know how rare these bulbs are to obtain. Also there is no sensitivity adjustment for the motion detector. I installed the light on ceiling "tucked" back into a small closet and the light still comes on even when you come near the entrance to closet. No big deal but I had to paint half the sensor black to reduce its sensitivity. When research led me to this fixture it seemed like a great possibility. It proved to be just that. I was able to install it quickly and easily...and more importatly it works perfect. The light comes on at the very moment one approaches the door if and when openned... and turns off in three minutes. It looks fine and is energy efficient. A great solution for feeling better about a habit that was wasting energy. |
