Leviton WSS0S-P0W Wireless Self-Powered Remote Switch, White Reviews 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful This is the remote switch of the system ..., By This review is from: Leviton WSS0S-P0W Wireless Self-Powered Remote Switch, White (Tools & Home Improvement) I'm adding the reviews to the other components too, as based on my original writeup on the heart of the system, the WSS10 receiver.Leviton WSS10-GDW Wireless Momentary Switch Relay, No Neutral, 120/277v, 1-Pole, White The WSS0S series is the remote switch to the WSS10 series receivers. The one big aspect that sets this remote apart from many other remote-based switches is that no batteries or wiring is required; it is a spring-loaded self-powered switch. The switch may be surface mounted or recessed in a box with at least 5/8" clearance. Versatility is a huge plus on this setup. The receiver can be set for up to 6 devices (switches or occupancy sensors), so one can readily make this a 4-way setup and beyond. The transmission signal is digital and each device has its own 32-bit address, so interference... Throw in a enocean compatible on/off relay plug-in receiver and its even more, but it makes the impossible -- possible. I live in an apartment and in 2 cases I had lamps that were not on switched plugins. It is not possible for me to get these changed. Using this product I was able to have light switches that I can take with me!No worries about interference, the product requires paring with each device it will control. You can have a switch control multiple receivers or multiple switches for the same receiver. You'll also want to purchase a surface mount box, the box this comes with does not mount with double sided tape (ie: 3m command). 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful This is an easy way to add a 3 way switch, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Leviton WSS0S-P0W Wireless Self-Powered Remote Switch, White (Tools & Home Improvement) When pulling wire is impossible, this is your answer. It reliably communicates with its receiver over 30 feet away in my house, and requires no power for itself. Its power is generated by your finger pressing the switch. I have it programmed as a push-on, push-off switch. It can be surface mounted, but I have mine in an empty single gang box. Next to a normal "Decora" switch it looks similar. Now I no longer have to run upstairs to turn off the lights I forgot... PS follow the wiring diagram for the receiver EXACTLY. This is not your normal 3 way hookup, and the order of switches on the traveling leg matters! |
