They work consistently and I've had no issues with them at all. There is another review where someone tried to use it with an X-10 system. I made some attempts to use X-10 with other devices, and gave up because it's unreliable in general. As long as you're using this for Insteon control, it should work just fine. My only complaint is Smarthome Insteon products are overpriced and they apparently don't allow 3rd party retailers to sell them for less than the list price.
