But after that it has been one problem after another:- Would turn the lights on even when no one entered the room - Bulbs stopped working one by one. I had set it in the master bath where we have 8 bulbs. We are down to 2 working bulbs now - Does not turn the lights off even after person leaves the room I wish I had saved the packaging so I could return this item. I have motion sensor switches in several rooms in the house, including another model from Leviton. I have had no problems with any one of those. I paid extra for this one for its ultra-sonic capabilities which is supposed to sense motion even behind doors. I thought it could sense motion when someone is using the shower which is behind a glass door. That never worked. This product is much nicer because it has an adaptive mode, which the other one didn't, and you don't need to be in the direct line of sight for the lights to stay on, which is a problem with the position on the wall because it doesn't have clear sight of the entire garage and this item solves that problem.It did take a bit of finesse to make the settings just right so the lights would actually turn off, apparently the default setting was too sensitive and never turned the lights off. Once I got it working correctly it works like a charm for our everyday needs. Overall this product is great and works well, but it can be a bit difficult to get the settings right, was just trial and error for me, but in the end the work of setting it up properly was well worth effort, would recommend for users who don't mind spending time adjusting the settings on this unit. Ft Minor Motion Coverage, Light Almond (Tools & Home Improvement) Works as promised. I used this switch for my garage lights. Had to buy two because I have two three-way switchs in my garage. Now the lights come on when we drive into the garage or walk out to the garage from the house. Because of the three way switch set up, I checked with a electrician first before wiring them in, my set up worked. Haven't been able to "work" out in the gargae to see if the lights will stay on and not shut of like some sensor switchs do. |
