| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  I sense a significant difference of opinion...,  This review is from: Cooper Wiring Devices OS310U-W-K Motion-Activated Occupancy Sensor Wall Switch, White (Tools & Home Improvement) I'm not sure why there is such polarization (forgive the pun) of opinion on this product. I have found it to work as advertised in several installations. The wire colors used fit the standard convention, so there is no confusion about how to wire it. The only odd wire is the blue one, which is only used for a 3-way installation, and their diagrams are quite clear. As is typical with these devices, the delay time is adjusted with a small screw and adjustment is pretty coarse in terms of exact time. However, I was quite able to adjust it for delay times even under 5 minutes.I can see how there could be a problem with this device if you were replacing a single switch that did not have a neutral in the box. The night light would not work for sure. I don't know how it would affect the function of the motion sensing switch. I have used other Cooper motion switches that do not require a neutral, so I assume this one would work all right. This motion sensor is a... This product has not worked out for me, after adjusting this item 4-5 times a week for the past month, it still comes pn during daylight hours, finally it has worn me put and I am reinstalling the old manual switch. I would not recommend this switch for anyone. |
