Installation, replacing non-motion-sensitive lights of similar size, was straightforward. I soldered all the connections rather than trusting to twisting bare wires together. This meant I needed larger acorn insulaters than were supplied, but that was not a problem. I like the flexible programming the lights allow, including a choice of dusk-to-dawn when needed. I installed compact fluorescent bulbs, providing lots of light for relatively little electricity consumption. Some electronic units are disturbed by compact fluorescents, but these are apparently immune. I shopped around before selecting this lamp -- it was significantly less expensive than others with similar features. The last one lasted 10 years and getting rusty and "moody" at times. This one does what it says. some minor adjustment was made to fit into our old fixture.
